Pat's Bio

Having been raised in a rural area of Virginia, being somewhat secluded on our generational family farm, my childhood offered me much time to fill creatively. There was no sibling to play with, since my only brother was grown and out of the nest. My Mother, having noticed some artistic potential, and tiring of hearing me complain of boredom, purchased a tablet and watercolors, with which she proceeded to offer me inspiration by painting her best version of a single red rose. That was my jump start into the world of art and the rest is history. With a little formal education, and a lot of enthusiasm, I forged ahead. That was over 65 years ago.

On my "blog spot", you can view the result of a personal goal to participate in an art venue in each of our 50 states : primarily these were juried art competitions, and gallery representation in a few states.

I take commission work and have published a number of limited edition prints of scenes throughout our local county here in Ohio. I have done some book cover illustrations and the most fun of all is when I get to do freelance work.

It is my joy and pleasure to climb the stairs to my 'over the garage' art studio as often as possible. The excitement of a new idea, paints and a blank canvas hasn't faded yet and I suspect it never will.

Pat and her husband Stan have been married for 55 years and reside in west central Ohio. God has blessed them with three awesome kids, all of which are married with families.
